Alarm Over Talks to Implant UK Employees With Microchips

Britain’s biggest employer organization and main trade union body have expressed concern over the prospect of companies implanting staff with microchips. The Trade Union Congress fear people will be coerced into being microchipped.

Implanted in the flesh between the thumb and forefinger, are similar to those for pets. They can be used to open doors with a wave of the hand, and can store medical data and identification information.

A company that provides human chip implants the size of a grain of rice, said they in discussions with several British legal and financial firms about fitting their employees with microchips.

Another company says they have microchipped 4,000 people, mostly in Sweden. Where it is working with the state-owned rail service to allow people to use implanted chips for ticketing purposes.
