A woman battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for nearly ten years and is now cancer free after a groundbreaking clinical trial. The treatment is delivered in a single syringe and re-engineers T-cells to seek out and destroy the cancer cells.
Denise Kennan, 66, participated in a new cancer treatment called CAR T-cell Therapy. 30 days later, doctors say they found no trace of cancer. Denise has been in and out of remission the last 10 years with a variety of failed treatments.
“The jury’s still out as far as how long this is going last because they just don’t have a lot of long-term data,” Keenan told Fox 8.
Doctors don’t know exactly how the new cancer treatment works and why some people who participated in the trials respond better than others
