Taiwan: Thousands of people wearing yellow vests rallied in front of the Presidential Office in Taipei and the Ministry of Finance. Protesters are demanding that the government return unfairly levied taxes.
Most protesters were supporters of the Taiwanese Tax and Legal Reform League. The league was founded two years ago, but this marked the first time they had worn yellow vests. Protesters adopted the yellow garments made famous by anti-government protesters in France. Protests are expected to continue.
