Anti-fascist activists in Virginia exposed a police sergeant for his involvement and support of a neo-pagan white nationalist group and it got him suspended for now.
Robert Stamm, 36, was placed on paid administrative leave, according to a statement from the Virginia Capitol Police. The statement said it was “made aware early Wednesday of a possible violation of division policy” by Stamm, elaborating that the decision to suspend him came “after we discovered some social media posts this morning.”
Early Wednesday morning, activists tweeted links to a report detailing Stamm’s social media history, showing posts expressing an affinity and support for a white nationalist group.
