Johnny Wheatcroft was a passenger in a car when Glendale, Arizona cops pulled in front of the car in a motel parking lot, allegedly for a turn signal violation.
Within minutes, Wheatcroft was handcuffed lying face down on the asphalt. He was already tased at least 10 times. Now with one cop’s knee in his back, held against the asphalt, officer Matt Schneider, kicked him in the groin and pulled down his shorts to tase him again in his testicles. It was all recorded on body camera footage. Johnny’s 11 and 6 year old sons watched as their Dad was tortured.
Matt Schneider, the cop who tortured the Dad in front of his children, was suspended for just 30 hours. Records show to this day, Schneider remains an active officer on the force. Officer Matt Schneider has been given multiple awards from the police chief and has represented Glendale twice on the show Cops.
The footage released contradicts the departments records, and the claims of the cops involved.
Johnny Wheatcroft and his wife, Anya Chapman, were both arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer. They spent months in jail because they couldn’t afford bail. Anya eventually agreed to plead guilty to lesser charges so she could get home to her children.
