Amazon Will Pay $0 in Federal Taxes on $11.2 Billion in Profits

If you were wondering how much Amazon, valued at about $800 billion, has to pay in federal taxes you might be interested to learn that it’s going to pay $0.

According to a report by the Institute on Taxation and Economic (ITEP) policy, the tech giant won’t have to pay anything in federal taxes for the second time in two years.

As Amazon has nearly doubled its US profits between 2017 and 2018 from $5.6 billion to $11.2 billion.
