The DEA is looking for someone who can burn 1,000 pounds of marijuana an hour for eight hours a day. The company will also need to be able to incinerate other items like pharmaceuticals and other various controlled substances.
The incinerator facility is required to have security cameras, covering the entire facility from intake to ash removal. It is also required that the facility has a fence tall enough to prevent the public from viewing the process.
The DEA says they will provide armed agents during scheduled burns.
