2 Students Accused of Jamming School’s Wi-Fi Network to Get Out of Tests

Modern problems require modern solutions and officials say two boys took it upon themselves to find a modern solution, they successfully crashed their high school’s Wi-Fi network on multiple occasions to get out of taking tests.

The two freshmen boys are now charged with conspiracy and computer criminal activity. Officials say the 14 year olds compromised the high school network, and even took requests from other students to bring down the system.

Much of the school’s curriculum is internet-based, so crashing the school’s Wi-Fi connection disrupted the students’ daily assignments.

The school Superintendent, Jennifer Montesano, says the Wi-Fi network is back in use and is fully operational.
