Pre-Dawn ICE Raids Targeting 2,000 Migrant Families Slated to Start Sunday

US ICE agents plan to begin mass raids, targeting as many as 2,000 migrant families for deportation beginning pre-dawn Sunday morning, The Washington Post reported.

Anonymous federal officials, said the “Family Op” would likely start with pre-dawn Sunday raids in cities considered to be primary immigration destinations. The sources say that the cities expected to be targeted include Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York and San Francisco. Raids would be carried out over a several day period.

Planning for the massive raids was taking place on Friday with ICE, Homeland Security and the White House all involved, The Washington Post reported.

On Monday, president Donald Trump tweeted that immigration raids were coming “next week” and that ICE would begin the process of deporting millions of undocumented immigrants.
