President Donald Trump reversed an already ordered military strike on Iran late Thursday night. Sources said planes were already in the air when the call came in that the operation was cancelled.
Sources reported the reversal was against the advice of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Security Adviser John Bolton.
The reversal was first reported by The New York Times.
The Iranian government shot down a US military drone early on Thursday. Iran said the drone was flying in the country’s airspace, while the US government claims it was operating in international airspace.
