Jared Elkins, 33, was found guilty of forcible rape, two counts of forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by use of force in connection with 2017, incident. He faces 14 years in state prison and his sentencing is scheduled for March 8, 2019.
The 7-year veteran officer had plead not guilty to the charges and was on paid leave during the trial. Records show Elkins was booked after his arrest Sept. 15 in San Diego. He was released on bail the day after his arrest.
